Our Trip to River Ridge Cabins

WOW was all we could say as our jaws dropped walking into the cabin at River Ridge. It was just dusk and we gleamed across the plains at the sun going down over he mountains. Time for a brew and a nice dinner, we thought, and headed into the kitchen. Everything we could possible need was already there. Others whom had stayed before had purchased items and left some of the extra (spices, coffee, and more). Each night we would head down to the local grocery store to buy a fresh cut of meat, or some appetizers to go with our dinner. It was so nice to have everything we needed to cook at the Cabins! We even had some unexpected guest stop by to cook a wonderful Trout dinner, since the cabins they chose were not nearly as nice as ours!!! Next year they are coming with us to River Ridge.

Fishing was another great adventure that we will not forget! We first headed out to Hogpark then the upper Encampment....19”+ Browns and Rainbows all day long! The following day we went to Saratoga to the Platte and chartered a guide for the day; the big water was tough, but we managed to pull in 40+ trout between the three of us!

We have already begun planning our trip for next year and cannot wait to stay at River Ridge Cabins again. The only difference that we won’t stay at four different places and save this one for last; as we know it is the best and this time we plan to stay the there the whole week.
